Ultrasound pictures

Yesterday I woke up with some spotting. Sometimes, babies burrow in deeper and attach to new blood vessels is their old ones suck, shedding a little blood. I was hoping this was the case, but I still freaked out and went to the OB.

You can imagine how much fun THAT was, telling him I was having a homebirth with a midwife (he insinuated I wasn't getting prenatal care) and refusing all the lovely tests that aren't needed at all for the first visit. He also argued with me over burrowing, which has been photographed happening, but I finally just brushed him off and asked for the ultrasound. And, thankfully, he gave it to me.

You're looking between the giant obnoxious stars at the grain of rice that is officially the smallest member of the family :) It was like the whole thing was one giant heartbeat. I meant to take my phone in and videotape it, but unfortunately I left it in the car, cue me kicking myself in the butt the whole way home.

Anyway, all is well, woohoo!
